What gorgeous weather it has been for the Clunes Booktown festival this weekend! The historic streets and gardens have been buzzing with book lovers and writers alike, with a wide range of book stalls to peruse and lots of authors to meet. A huge program of events has been underway over the weekend, with some great author and artist talks and workshops. It’s wonderful to see so many people out in the sunshine engaging with books and literature in-person.
The festival attracts around 18,000 visitors each year and has been held annually since 2007. Clunes was officially declared the first ‘international booktown’ in the Southern Hemisphere in 2012, one of 18 internationally recognised booktowns worldwide.
